Hello and welcome to the Guild of Charlotte Artists web page. The GCA is a grassroots organization of local artists and friends of the visual arts, founded in 1948. Our members work in a variety of media, including oil, watercolor, clay, and photography. We wish to promote art and local artists and their work through education, fellowship, and sharing of talents and ideas.

We host monthly member meetings where a guest artist presents a demonstration of his or her artwork. The Guild provides two juried member shows a year to give our artists an opportunity to show their work. Cash and gift certificates are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. We also host at least one workshop a year for our members and others in the area.

A monthly newsletter is sent to our members either by email or snail mail.

Good News ~ The Guild of Charlotte Artists will continue to meet at the Mint Museum of Art in 2008 through 2009.

Our next meeting is on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at the Mint Museum at 7:00 pm. This month is a membership dinner and slip show presentation by members
