An artist who has seen and made a lot of art and has lately redefined his mission, Mikel has been making art for over 4 decades. Intertwined with his creative journey was his 29 year tenure at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. As Vice-President of 1978 Maplewood Art Center, a community art center run by volunteers, he curated exhibits and was immersed in the operation and programming of the gallery. Also, Frank was co-chair of the Maplewood Arts Council. He has been curator for a number of exhibitions and has exhibited his work throughout the world.
